Why Brave the Mountain? For generations, pilgrims, travelers, and sportsmen have braved the perilous heights of Great San Bernardo Pass through the Swiss Alps. Their only warmth was found in the fireplaces and spirits of mountain monasteries - where monks distilled a fiery liquor and raised the St. Bernard dogs trained to rescue the wayward and frozen.

Starting with a column-distilled Bourbon, aged in American Oak barrels, and infused with all-natural peppermint & cacao flavors. This creates a warm blend for daytime outdoor adventures and nights lit by stars or neon.

We are a mountain company, distilling at over 6000 ft elevation, and are committed to honoring the brave spirit of the original St. Bernard by donating a portion of our proceeds to avalanche rescue dog operations and our military working canines.

So come in from the cold, grab your friends, find that roaring fire and raise a couple of Bernies’ to cheer a day well explored.

Founders’ note

St. Bernard Mountain Whiskey, where adventure is distilled in every drop. We are proudly 100% Veteran owned and operated. Born on the rugged slopes of Colorado, Bernie’s is more than a spirit—it’s a celebration of the wild, the daring, and the bold.

We craft our whiskey to mirror the Mountain West: pure, unpretentious, and unapologetically authentic. Using one-of-a-kind glass stills at high altitude, pure Rocky Mountain spring water, and the finest natural ingredients, we craft each bottle to reflect our commitment to quality and sustainability.

No artificial flavors. No coloring. No plastic. No shortcuts. Just craftsmanship at its peak.
